Personal Information on the Strings of Praise
The Strings of Praise today consist of Ausbin Barnett with his two daughters Sharyn Stalans and Melanie Magee, Ausbin's nephew, Rickey Barnett and Rickey's wife, Debbie all whom sing. There is one one steel guitar player, Delmus Westmorland and one lead guitar player, Dewitt Boyd. Ausbin's son-in-law, Joe Stalans plays the drums and the bass guitar. David Lane plays the bass guitar and also sings. Ausbin Barnett and Rickey Barnett play the rythum guitar and sings. The group has one back up drummer, Doug Ladner who plays when Joe is unavailable.

Ausbin Barnett is married to Faye Barnett. Ausbin and Faye have eight children. Ausbin has 5 children, three sons and two daughters. Both of Ausbin's daughters sing with the group. Faye has three sons. Ausbin and Faye are very active members of Shalom Baptist Church in New Hebron MS.

Melanie Magee is Ausbin's oldest daughter. Melanie is married to Sonny Magee. Melanie has one daughter and one grandchild. Sonny has two daughters and one son with one granddaughter. Sonny and Melanie are members of Star Baptist Church.

Sharyn Stalans is Ausbin's youngest daughter and she is married to Joe Stalans. They have two children, Abby and Blake. Joe and Sharyn are very active members at their church, The Church of God of Prophecy, in Monticello, MS. Joe is the Teen Sunday School teacher and Sharyn is the Pre-teen Sunday School teacher and the Director of the Children's Church.

Ricky Barnett is Ausbin's nephew and Ricky is married to Debbie. They have one son Tyler. Ricky and Debbie are active members in their church, Mt Zion Baptist Church.

Delmus Westmoreland is married to Bobbie and they both are active members at their church, Sumrall Praise and Worship.

Dewitt Boyd is married to Ruby and they are active members at their church, Forest Grove Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello, MS.

Doug Ladner is married to Mary with the Ladner's being active in their community.
